This week sees the inaugural edition of We Make Waves in Berlin.

WMW aims to keep more gender inclusivity in the music industry. Music has always been a tool of empowerment for the most disadvantaged members of society, whether overtly political or not, song is a symbol of hope and freedom. By providing a level platform for a diverse range of voices both for artists and music professionals, We Make Waves aims to begin building structures and bridges within the industry that can in turn capacitate those who play a part in creating such impactful work. The event is focused on providing a forum for discussion, skill-sharing, networking and building tools for lasting change.
