The question of FB had been on my mind ever since i created a profile. My initial enthusiasm over the fact that i could peak through my friends’ life at any given time, was gradually overshadowed by my realization that because of this, i actually communicated less with them. And this because, whenever i felt like i wanted to see what they were up to, all i had to do was check their status, or recent photos uploaded. And then, i would often not bother write or call.
Is this, the target here? Sure, we’re all very busy, but to be honest with you, I enjoyed our occasional but heartfelt e-mail messages more than any status update, comment, or photo you have ever uploaded.
For this reason (and the fact that i am beginning to get tired of all the user names and passwords that i have to remember in order to maintain my virtual identity) a few months ago i decided to completely delete my FB profile. In this way, if i miss you, you will know it because i will write or call. And not because i will post it on your wall. [Despite the fact that i am posting it in your blog: I do miss you] Love, S.
